COVID-19 PANDEMIC SUSPENDS PRACTICES AND GAMES

It is with a heavy heart that Lebanon Youth Baseball will be suspending ALL practices and games for teams of Lebanon Youth Baseball due to the COVID-19 pandemic effective immediately. This includes ALL select Lynx and Warriors teams as well as ALL teams in Lebanon Little League.

LYB is following the lead of Governor Mike DeWine, who closed schools until Monday, April 6, 2020. The Ohio High School Athletic Association has suspended the winter sports state tournament. The NCAA has cancelled the remaining winter sports championships. Major League Baseball is suspending the start of the regular season by two weeks.

LYB feels it is important that we follow suit to protect the health and well being of all our players, coaches and families who participate in our baseball programs.

With the news of the increasing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to contact you all directly to inform you that we are taking this situation very seriously and monitoring it closely.

The Lebanon Youth Baseball Board is having a conference call on Sunday night to discuss the 2020 season. It is the intent at this time to play a full season of baseball. LYB wants to remain flexible as events warrant, with the hope of returning to normal baseball operations as soon as possible.

Nobody wants to start the baseball season more than I do. This is truly in the best interest of keeping our community healthy and safe.

If there is a change in the situation, we will update by www.lebanonbaseball.org, email, Facebook (LYBOhio) and Twitter (@LYB-45036).

Thank you for your support of Lebanon Youth Baseball.
