Lebanon Youth Baseball has designed a program that helps volunteers who want to coach a Lebanon Little League team or an LYB Select Team. This program incorporates the required courses of Concussion Certification, Ohio's Lindsay's Law and the USA Baseball Coaches "A" Certification by completing the following courses: Abuse Awareness for Adults; Basic First Aid, The Confident Baseball Coach, and Introduction to Pitch Smart. We believe that this will help our volunteers with the fundamentals of coaching.
All coaches will also be subject to a criminal background check.
Certification is an important indicator of your commitment and excellence in a sport. It can set you apart from your peers and demonstrates that you have the same dedication to growth within the game that we so frequently ask of our athletes.
Lebanon Youth Baseball is utilizing the vast resources of Little League International and USA Baseball’s educational content. Achieving a certification keeps you current with what is happening in the modern game of baseball. It’s great for overall personal growth. All great leaders are also lifelong learners, always looking for new things to implement within their programs. We can never learn or achieve too much.
